Car fire spreads to carport, house

A car fire spread to a carport and then a house at 926 Clarence Ave. at 6 p.m. Sunday, the New Castle, Pa., Fire Department reported.

The fire appeared to have started in the engine, but the department said it isn’t sure why. There was no damage estimate.
