Meeting planned to discuss zoning rules
Weathersfield Township Zoning Commission will have a public hearing at 7 p.m. Wednesday to discuss changes to zoning regulations regarding oil and gas.
The proposed changes would require drilling companies to register with the township’s zoning commission before starting any drilling operations and would include a nonrefundable registration fee.
The proposed zoning rules also include setback requirements among other zoning changes.
Educators plan safety workshop
A produce safety workshop will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Mahoning County Extension Office at 490 S. Broad St.
Educators will share details on keeping produce safe, training family members/employees and getting ready for potential audits.

FNB opens new office in Canfield
First National Bank is opening a new office in the township. It is slated to begin operations Dec. 3.
The Canfield office is at the intersection of U.S. Route 224 and Tippecanoe Road in Creekside Place.
