Lisa Nicolaou, a special education teacher at Campbell Elementary School, was recently honored by the Ohio Lottery as a Teacher of the Month for October.
Nicolaou is described as “intellectual and professional.” She is an educator who consistently demonstrates an “exceptional” grasp of education topics and how they relate to students. She is an excellent communicator according to her principal, Robert Walls.
“On a daily basis, she demonstrates technological innovation in her lesson plans and teaching methods based on best practices,” Walls said. “She is extremely systematic in her approach to conquering intellectual and personal challenges, immensely adept at research and planning to overcome any and all obstacles that relate to her field.”
For being recognized as a Teacher of the Month, Nicolaou will receive an assortment of Partners in Education merchandise from the Ohio Lottery along with a gift certificate. The Ohio Lottery will continue to recognize Academic All Stars and Teachers of the Month throughout the school year.
