Crossroads Extension Education and Research Area, 490 S. Broad St., will host a produce safety workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
The program will teach farmers good agricultural practices to use at their farm businesses.
Trained educators will share details on keeping produce safe, training family members/employees on the issue and getting ready for potential audits.
Farm businesses participating in this program will learn about foodborne illness, how contamination can occur, water and soil safety and good handling practices.
