The Youngstown State women's basketball team outscored Pitt 43-17 in the second half en route to a 64-50 victory over the Panthers in Friday's opener.
It was YSU's second big victory over Pitt this season. The football team beat the Panthers in the regular season opener.
Brandi Brown had 16 points and 11 rebounds for YSU.
