The Trumbull County Sanitary Engineer’s office announced that the entire Valley View allotment and Lincoln Avenue area of Brookfield is on a boil-water advisory from Thursday until further notice.
Residents in those areas are advised to bring water to a rolling boil for three to five minutes if it will be used for drinking or ingestion. Call 330-675-2775 for information.

Two area chiropractors, Dr. Bryan Cecil and Dr. Jim Mussler, will help feed the hungry this holiday season by collecting donations of nonperishable food items from now to Thanksgiving. The goods can be dropped off at the offices of Dr. Cecil at DC Chiropractic and Wellness Center, 1219 Niles- Cortland Road, Warren, or the offices of Dr. Mussler, 843 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman.
The physicians will offer free exams, X-rays and consultations to all who donate. Participants are not required to accept the exam promotion and may also simply drop off their food donations.

A Newton Falls man was sentenced to eight years in prison after he pleaded guilty to 17 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving minors. Paul Bidwell III, 39, of Newton Drive, appeared in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Thursday. The judge ordered Bidwell to register as a sex offender after prison.
Bidwell was arrested in March after being secretly indicted by a Trumbull County grand jury.
An East Philadelphia Avenue woman was in the Mahoning County jail on Thursday, charged with felonious assault and criminal damaging. A woman told police she was in the waiting room of a Market Street doctor’s office about 8:45 a.m. when she and Airiel Tarver, 20, began to argue. The woman said Tarver punched her in the face. She struck back, and Tarver pulled a knife and tried to stab her. When an officer told Tarverthat she was being charged with felonious assault, Tarver began kicking and punching the cage inside of a cruiser, reports said. That resulted in the criminal damaging charge.
