Children entered St. Christine’s School as students, but not for long.
By the end of the day, students had transformed into a variety of characters and creatures during the school’s annual Halloween parade Oct. 31.
Kindergarten through fifth-grade students showed off their costumes while they circled the school’s gymnasium. Parents watched from the sidelines and cheered as their child walked by. Teachers also enjoyed themselves and were happy to have such an enormous amount of support from parents, who later assisted with room parties.
“It’s overwhelming how many parents want to help. We have some good parents here. Halloween is probably the best holiday. The students love to dress up, pass out candy and the parade,” said teacher Marilyn Lordi.
During room parties, children continued to have fun while they played games. Some classes wrote stories using Halloween jargon and others enjoyed a host of candy and treats.
Though the event was for students, some teachers also couldn’t help themselves and decided to join in on the fun. Some wore brightly-colored costumes while others were more casual.
