Canfield Township Trustees will conduct its annual leaf pick-up program through Nov. 21 for residents of the township. This is a continuation of the township’s efforts to provide recycling programs for residents with funds secured from the Mahoning County Green Team.
Residents are required to have their leaves in compostable brown paper bags and at the curb on the designated day of pickup no later than 7:30 a.m. This year, the township will utilize its Public Works Department employees for the leaf program and pick-up will be from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the designated quadrant on the specified day.
The township will use the same geographic areas as last year with the following pick-up schedule: Tuesdays (Nov. 13 and 20) for the northwest quadrant (north of Route 224 and west of Route 46) and northeast quadrant (north of Route 224 and east of Route 46); Wednesdays (Nov. 14 and 21) for the Southwest quadrant (south of Route 224 and west of Route 46) and Southeast (south of Route 224 and east of Route 46).
Residents can pick-up five free brown compostable paper bags at the Township Hall, located at 21 S. Broad St., on Nov. 12, 15, and 19. There is a charge for additional bags. For more information, call the Township Hall at 330-533-4239.
