A bartender at the Coconut Grove, 3229 South Ave., will be arraigned in municipal court at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on a minor misdemeanor charge of serving alcohol without a license after this week’s vice-squad raid on the bar.
Bobbi Kosmo, 31, of East Lucius Avenue, was issued a summons on that charge after she sold a beer to a police officer posing as a customer Tuesday, a police report said.
City police said they had been notified by the Ohio Liquor Control Commission that the bar’s liquor permit had been revoked.
Police observed that the bar was decorated for a party, and Kosmo told them 400 people were expected for the party that evening, the police report said.
When police asked Kosmo for the bar’s liquor license, she couldn’t provide it, and no such license was posted in the establishment, police said.
Police said they seized 88 bottles of alcoholic beverages from the bar, stored them as evidence and notified state liquor agents.
