Suicide survivors candlelight vigil
The 14th annual National Survivors of Suicide Day Candlelight Vigil is at 6 p.m. Nov. 17 at Victory Christian Center, Warren Campus, 4257 Tod Ave. N.W. The vigil is in remembrance of loved ones who have died by suicide. Anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide is welcome and encouraged to attend and to bring photos or signs.

Sharon Regional Health System’s School of Nursing has extended its application deadline to Dec. 7 for the class that starts in August 2013 and graduates in the spring of 2015. The well-child immunization clinic is Wednesday in the Girard Health Department, 100 W. Main St. A $10 fee is charged per child. Parents are reminded to bring a copy of their child’s immunization record. A parent or guardian must accompany children under 18. Parents must preregister children before the clinic by calling 330-545–6048 between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
St. Elizabeth Health Center and the Lake to River Food Cooperative are having a holiday farmers market at the hospital, 1044 Belmont Ave., from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the hospital’s private dining rooms on 2-West. The market is open to staff, visitors and the general public.
Locally grown products will be available for use for holiday dinners, such as potatoes, squash, greens, syrup and honey, as well as pumpkins, gourds and more to decorate holiday tables. Seasonal quick breads, butter and eggs for baking and cheese from grass-fed animals also will be available. Orders will be taken for holiday pies, rolls and other baked goods. Pickup will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Nov. 20 in St. Elizabeth in the Youngstown Room on 1-West.
