WARREN

The Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership, a nonprofit organization funded through the Wean Foundation that tries to improve Warren’s neighborhoods, has announced that maps of demolition projects from throughout Trumbull County are available.

Those interested can access them online at http://trumbullcountylandbank.org/lb_mofgrant.html.

The maps show each community that has pledged money to participate in a $2 million project through the Ohio Attorney General’s office to demolish hundreds of abandoned homes.

Each community’s proposed demolition projects are highlighted on the maps.

A settlement the attorney general’s office reached with the nation’s largest mortgage servicers over foreclosure abuses, fraud and unfair lending practices resulted in Trumbull County being awarded $1.3 million.

Trumbull communities pledged local funds of $775,797, bringing the total project funding to $2,051,594, TNP says.

Once demolition has been completed, the property will be available for purchase through the Trumbull County Land Bank side-lot program.
