Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign starts Thursday

BOARDMAN — The Salvation Army Mahoning County Area Services will have its 2012 Red Kettle Campaign Kick-Off and Breakfast at 9 a.m. Thursday at Quaker Steak & Lube, 435 Boardman-Poland Road.

Salvation Army’s red kettles will be placed at shopping centers in the Mahoning Valley from Monday through Christmas Eve. This year’s campaign goal is $305,000, said Maj. Elijah Kahn, area coordinator for Salvation Army Mahoning County Area Services, who will highlight the needs in the community at the breakfast. There will also be a performance by the Salvation Army Brass Ensemble.

Doreen Sahli, Quaker Steak & Lube general manager, is the 2012 honorary chairwoman.

Call BO and ask him for money because the ones who need the help , voted him in. i got a feeling that donations are going to be very low.. Maybe you can drive down thru the ghetto for donations. I, myself will never give another a penny to any group or organization that helps welfare rats again.
