Irate Sharon woman faces many charges after arrest at Hubbard bar

City police said a Pennsylvania woman kicked out a police car window and started a fire in a jail cell after she was arrested early Tuesday.

Police said Bryanna L. Germano, 22, of Sharon, Pa., was trying to fight patrons at the Killin’ Time Bar in the 500 Block of West Liberty Street shortly after midnight Monday. According to reports, witnesses said Germano entered the bar and began cursing and hitting people before police were called. At the scene, police said they had to physically restrain a visibly intoxicated Germano while she kicked and cursed. After Germano was handcuffed and placed in the cruiser, she kicked out the back passenger window, police said. Officers then took Germano to the police department and carried her to a holding cell, according to reports. While securing her in the cell, she kicked two officers in the face, said police. Officers then watched on surveillance video as Germano used a lighter to start a glove on fire before officers rushed to the cell and threw the glove in the toilet.

Police said Germano was taken by ambulance to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren after she complained of body aches and trouble breathing. At the hospital, Germano spit on a nurse and attempted to bite a doctor’s hand when he covered her mouth, police said.

Police then secured Germano with a belt and leg shackles before she was transferred to the Trumbull County Jail.

Germano was video-arraigned Tuesday in Girard Municipal Court. She is facing two felony counts of assault, felony arson, criminal damage, disorderly conduct and failure to comply.

Her preliminary hearing and pretrial are scheduled for Nov. 14 in Girard Municipal Court. Her bond is set at $25,000.

She is in the Trumbull County Jail.
