Liberty firefighters ask for donations to help storm victims

LIBERTY — Township firefighters are accepting donations for the victims of Superstorm Sandy in New York between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. through Thursday.

Donations can be brought to the Liberty Fire Department, 4001 Logan Way. They will be driven by friends to those affected by the storm in Staten Island.

The firefighters request any of the following supplies to be donated: blankets, towels, and pillows; clothing, diapers, and goods for children; nonperishable food items and water; hand tools and construction supplies; Trac Phones and radios; small appliances and household items such as picture frames and cooking supplies; and school supplies.
