The Youngstown Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will host “Do More With Less: A Financial Fortitude Workshop” from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Williamson Elementary School, 58 Williamson Ave.
Yvonne Mathis, president and CEO of The Mathis Group LLC, will serve as the keynote speaker for the free public event.
Participants will have the choice to attend one of four workshop breakout sessions beginning at 10:30 a.m.
June Johnson of Home Savings will discuss credit and budgeting in the first-floor library; Linda Booker of Huntington National Bank will discuss homeownership in Room 206; Claudette Womack of Youngstown State University will discuss financial aid 101 in Room 205; and Truman Greene, president of the Youngstown/Warren Realtist Association, will discuss the real-estate market in Room 207.
The Financial Fortitude Workshop is an economic development initiative under Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.’s Five-Point Program Thrust. The program aims to help participants develop and implement financial plans, managing all aspects of their personal finances.
