Huntington Bancshares Inc. promoted Sam Huston to senior vice president, business banking east area manager and James G. Boots Jr. to vice president, mortgage lending. In his new role, Huston is responsible for managing Huntington’s business banking team for the Mahoning Valley, Erie, Pa., Pittsburgh and West Virginia. Huston has more than eight years in the banking industry. Before joining Huntington in 2009, he served as the business banking regional manager for Charter One Bank. Boots has more than 17 years’ experience in the banking industry.

Huntington Bancshares also hired Daniel J. Segool as business banking specialist. Segool is responsible for deepening business relationships for current and prospective customers in Mahoning and Columbiana counties. With more than 22 years in the banking industry, Segool most recently served as a small business specialist for JP Morgan Chase in Youngstown.

Sharon Regional Health System has added emergency medicine physicians Mark Horvath and Kellie Kirkpatrick to its staff. Horvath is a native of Struthers and joins Sharon Regional from Botsford Hospital and Trauma Center in Farmington Hills, Mich., where he completed his emergency medicine internship and residency. Kirkpatrick comes to Sharon Regional from Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Ill., where she was an attending physician in the emergency department.

Joseph R. Grajo, a 2003 Ursuline High School and 2009 Northeastern Ohio Medical University graduate, has accepted a fellowship position in abdominal imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital, which is a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. Dr. Grajo is the incoming chief resident in radiology at University of South Florida/Tampa General Hospital. He is the son of Joe and Ruth Grajo of Liberty Township.

The Gold Standard is reached when a store achieves a set of standards set forth by the franchisor during the evaluation process. The Boardman store achieved the customer experience, store operations and consistent brand identity to earn recognition this year.
