Author will discuss brain fitness program
Patrick Hartory, national speaker and author, will discuss his new book, “Your Ageless Mind," at 2 p.m. Saturday at Newton Falls Public Library, 204 S. Canal St.
He will present a free brain-fitness program followed by questions and a book signing. Participants will learn simple exercises that can help fight Alzheimer’s disease, improve natural ability to remember names and details and discover the super brain foods that will help slow mental aging.

Book signing features Youngstown native
Youngstown native Lydia Esparra will host a book signing from 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Second Mile Shop, 398 W. Bagley Road, Suite 7. It will benefit the outreach programs and services of Church Street Ministries.
Esparra, Emmy-winning news anchor at WOIO Channel 19 in Cleveland, will sign copies of her new inspirational book, “Heaven is All Around You,” as part of the Second Mile Shop’s 26th Annual Christmas Sale.
Esparra, an Ursuline High School and Ohio State University graduate, is the first Latina news anchor in the 65-year history of Cleveland television. She is the daughter of Porifirio and Eufemia Vasquez Esparra of Youngstown.
Church Street Ministries is a nonprofit organization, which assists families in crisis situations. The Christmas sale, which runs Nov. 15 through 17, will offer a large selection of holiday items at reasonable prices. All proceeds of the sale also go to Church Street Ministries.
