YOUNGSTOWN — Police made three arrests after a half-hour foot pursuit for suspects involved in a shooting of a man on Canfield Road about noon.

Police converged on the area immediately after the shooting and saw the suspected shooter and another man in a Chevrolet Impala on Indianola Avenue near Colfax. Both men jumped out of the car and began to run. The woman, who police said was the driver, was stopped on the South Side near Indianola.

One of the men was arrested about 12:15 p.m. near a gas station on the South Side. Police caught other man on Sherwood Avenue. Police said the shooting culminated an armed robbery of the victim in which personal items, including a cellphone, was taken.

There is no word on the victim’s condition, but initial reports said he had been shot in the leg.
