Girl, 10, accused of committing sex crimes against 3 in Canfield

Published: Sat, May 26, 2012 @ 12:08 a.m.

Staff report

Canfield

A 10-year-old girl has been accused of sex crimes against three female friends.

The alleged incidents came to light in April after the father of one accuser told Canfield police he was concerned that his daughter had been sexually assaulted by the girl, according to a police report.

Detectives began investigating the claim, and on April 20, the 10-year-old girl was booked into the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center on pending charges of gross sexual imposition and multiple counts of rape.

She spent that weekend in juvenile detention.

Two of the accusers are 11 years old and one is 10, according to the report.

Specific information about the alleged incidents have not been released, and Canfield Police Chief Chuck Colucci said the juvenile-court magistrate issued a gag order on the case, preventing anyone involved from discussing its details.

Colucci said the case remains under investiga-tion by his department.

Wondering if a gag order would have been issued had it taken place in Youngstown with Youngstown residents...

Did this girl come from a home with two mommies?

In response to the "two mommies" comment....Statistically speaking, she was probably sexually abused and more than likely it was by a man, if she was....I do, however, wonder how a ten year old gets charged with abusing a child when she is also a child. I doubt this has anything to do with how many mommies she has or doesn't have.

So SirTrey you think only an adult can abuse a child?Children can not abuse each other only in your world.

Dr Phil had a program this week about childporn. It was very frank and had warnings for viewers. Some of the things they told about were unbelievable! These kids must learn about it on the computer.

In the past the far left crowd would have been here stating how this girl was born that way.

This perpetrator can be labeled any way the public wishes to label her. Lets wait and see. There are many children who act out sexually and few people report it. They are usually victims of being abused--either physically or mentally--or being "sexualized" by being introduced to something they are not ready for-such as porn. Acting out secrets often times. Statistically it is a man who is the perpetrator. The idiot who made the comments about the mommies has to be retarded or just plain low IQ/stupid. WTF? how are people such a-hole idiots?

I am not slow enough for the smooth talking lovedrama nor anyone else to take advantage of me. When you dont get control over others you resort to name calling.

Thank god for the father who notice something. Child who are sexual offenders, Yes children tend to have done it multiple times and become sloppy by the time they get caught. It's a mental disorder that these pervs have. They have this whole crazy world, its scary! This girl if she is an offender will, only offend again in JJC on someone who is weaker. At least they caught her young before she ruined even more lives then she already has!

S+X ...CLUB?????.JUST SAY NO!!!!! Children Protective services will release a child to their parents after they investagate and clear the home for any wrong doing.. Have they checked ALL the other familys??? Maybe there is abuse in their homes... Why such a long investagation?? Did someone screw up something??? MAYBE. this is a David and Goliath story and ONE " JUST SAID NO'' AND MENT it...NO!!..NO NO ..and someone got mad........

No matter where it occured (which is totally unimportant you Canfield haters) it is still a horrific thing to have happened. Obviously this child has mental problems and needs to be dealt with immediately. Let's think of both the perpetrator AND the victim. Both will need counseling when this is over in the court system. This happens everywhere so instead of fighting over where it happened let's just work together to solve the problem.

Nanana,
A quick look through your comment history shows you seem to have an infatuation with homosexuals. Did you know that studies show the mostly veruently anti-gay people tend to be struggling with their own sexuality? It's okay if you want to come out to us, we're all comfortable with our sexualities, it won't freak us out.

misterlee,

You seem to be drawn to criticism of the elite culture of our times and their need for legitimacy. My studies have shown that those involved with sexuality not deemed normal see nothing wrong with spreading their style of loving. Thanks for the invite but no thanks.

we need to help her not hurt her. there is a problem there and she needs help. can we as a community do his or will we just judge her?

I'm not a 'smoothtalker' , however, you are an idiot nanana. I just have my facts in order due to education in this area. I made my living helping people with sexual probelms before I retired. And yes--misterlee is 100% correct. You're struggling with your own sexuality. Better leave the anti-gay comments alone or you'll hate yourself even more than you already do.

I thought a person was innocent until proven guilty. It appears a lot of people have already decided this little girl is guilty. Has anyone thought that perhaps this little girl is the victim...and NOT victimized by her parents. I would not be surprised that after further investigation, they discover there is more to this story.
