Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection has planned a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 13 at Avion on the Water Banquet Centre, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The theme is “Hooray for the Red, White & Blue.” Jan Buist will show how to make a patriotic wreath, and Rita Busin will provide music. “Traveling with Joy” will be the topic of guest speaker Marty Campana of Boardman. Youngstown Chapter, Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, will have an open public meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dublin Grange, 6571 Fairground Blvd., Canfield. The program will be a book review and discussion of “A Call for Healing and Peace,” from the book “Spiritual Laws that Govern Humanity and the Universe,” written by Dr. Lonnie C. Edwards, vice president, AMORC. The program will be presented by Regional Monitor, Sunday Pitinii, of the Ohio Affiliate Body of AMORC. There also will be a question-and-answer session regarding the Rosicrucian Order. Refreshments and fellowship will follow.
Canfield Republican Women’s Club will host its annual picnic and auction from 5:30 to 9 p.m. June 6 in McMahon Hall at the Mahoning County Experimental Farm, state Route 46, across from the Canfield Fairgrounds.
