Seventeen teenagers from Struthers, New Middletown and Poland were charged with underage drinking at the Kalahari Water Park Resort near Sandusky.
A report from the Erie County Sheriff’s Department said security called the department at 3:45 a.m. Sunday after getting complaints about noise and loud music in a guest room at the Sands building in the park.
Deputies said that when they went into the room, they found numerous people who appeared to be under 21 and “mass quantities of various alcoholic beverages and ‘beer bongs’ among the table and bar area.”
Those over 18 who were charged with underage consumption are Kara Martinelli, Struthers, who also was charged with permitting underage consump- tion because the room was registered to her; Dylan Spatholt of Struthers; Tyler Stocker of Struthers; Kimberly Umphrey of Struthers; James Mayor of Struthers; Kayla Kusky of Poland; David Nolfi of New Middletown; Ryan Ahmer of Struthers; Rachel White of New Middletown; Taylor Stillerman of Struthers; Justin Gibbs of New Middletown; Michael Maillis of Struthers; James Burnside of Struthers; Sean Bednarz of Struthers; and Shelby Timms of Struthers.
Two juveniles also were charged with consumption and delinquency.
The adults will be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. Friday in Huron Municipal Court. Erie County Juvenile Court will set arraignments for the juveniles.

Still can't believe these "adults" can go to the armed forces and die for us but we can't allow them to be "adults" when it comes to drinking alcohol! Put the legal age back to 18 or don't charge them as adults until they are legally drinking adults at 21! Just another way to make money off of taxpayers.
One story on this. Where did they get the beer? Who rented the room. Was any adult charged. We have to get to the bottom of this crime! Wait ,no Mooney kids? My bad. Let's move on....nothing to see here.....just sayen....
