WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a baked chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be available for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. For takeouts call the church at 330-743-3175.

Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., will serve a free Lenten breakfast from 6:30 to 9: 30 a.m. Freewill offerings will be accepted, and a senior stretch will follow the breakfast. For information call 330-533-2246.

FRIDAY

American Legion FDR Post 560, 103 12th St., Campbell, is having a fish/shrimp fry from noon to 6 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Argus Lodge 545, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield, is serving a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall at the lodge. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. Carryouts will be available; call 330-533-3077.

Beaver Creek Sportsman Club, 14480 Washingtonville Road, Washingtonville, will have fish and shrimp dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $9 for a fish dinner or $8 for a shrimp dinner. Carryouts are available.

Bristolville United Methodist Church, at the corner of Routes 45 and 88, will serve free lunches of soup, sandwich and a light dessert from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is handicap-accessible.

Canfield Lions will serve a fish dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Cost is $10. Takeout will be available; call 330-533-0363.

Centenary United Methodist Church, 1413 Belmont Ave., will serve fried fish sandwich lunches from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The price is $6.50. Call 330-744-5509 or 330-788-2813.

Columbiana American Legion, 44403 State Route 14, Columbiana, will have a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m.

East Side Crime Watch, 1001 Oak St., corner of Fruit St. (the old fire station building), will serve dinners of wing dings at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $7. Carryouts will be available; call 330-742-4880.

First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will serve fish dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. Dinners cost $8 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts are available.

Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935, 122 S. State St., will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Prices are $7.50 for adults and $4.50 for children 4 to 12. Those 3 and under eat free. Carryout will be available.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528, and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday. This will be the last sale until after Easter.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Church will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the parish center, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. The cost is $9.95. Children’s fish and chicken dinners will be available. For takeouts call 330-270-0650.

National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 N. Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will serve fish dinners. The cost will be $10 for adults and $6 for children. For information call 330-538-3351. Carryouts will be available.

Poland Masonic Lodge 766, F.&A.M., at 7685 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road (Route 170), will serve fish meals for $9 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance. This will be the last sale until they resume April 20.

St. Brendan Church, 144 N. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. in the church hall. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. An extra piece of fish is $5, and extra sides are $2 or $3. Luncheon specials from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. are takeout only and include a dinner for $9 or a sandwich and side for $6. St. John Greek Orthodox Church, 4955 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, is having a Lenten Seafood Fest from 5 to 8 p.m. Takeouts are available by calling 330-788-7785 after 4:30 p.m.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available. This will be the last sale before Easter. Sales will resume April 20.

St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3 to 7 p.m. in Antioch Hall. Cost is $9; tuna steak dinners will be available for $11. A la carte items and takeouts also will be available.

St. Patrick Church, 225 N. Main St., Hubbard, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. in the church hall. The cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children. There also will be fantail shrimp dinners for $7 and pirogi, haluski, macaroni and cheese or ravioli dinners for $6. Carryouts are available; call ahead after 3 p.m. at 330-534-4219.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. There will be no sales April 6 or April 13.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi for takeout only. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday; walk-in orders will be available.

St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m.; takeout service starts at 3. Cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12. Those 5 and under eat free.

Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, will serve a fish dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the church hall. The cost is $8.50 for adults and $5 for children. Carryouts are available. For information call the church office at 330-743-1905. Stations of the Cross will be said at 4:30 p.m. on Fridays during Lent.

Ursuline High School Boys’ Baseball Team will host a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria, 750 Wick Ave., Youngstown. The cost is $10 per person. Loge tickets for eight to this year’s Ursuline-Mooney football game will be included in a basket auction at 7:15 p.m. For information call Joe Metzinger at 330-502-4845.

VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will have a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under.

SATURDAY

Beaver Township Ruritan Club will serve its 51st annual fish dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. at the new South Range High School, 11300 Columbiana-Canfield Road. Carryout will be available from 2:30 to 7 p.m. The cost for adults is $10, and for children it’s $5. For information call Larry Deckant at 330-719-2090.

Braceville United Methodist Church, state Route 82, is having a stuffed pork chop dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $9 for adults and $3.50 for children. For takeouts call 330-898-5607.

Bristolville United Methodist Church, 6271 N. Park Ave., will sponsor a takeout rigatoni with meatballs dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. (or until sold out). The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 5 to 12. Kids 4 and under are free.

First United Brethren Church, 1900 Eastbrook Road, New Castle, Pa., will sell soup and sandwiches from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There also will be a bake sale.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will sponsor an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. A donation will be accepted. For information call the church at 330-549-2333.

St. John Orthodox Church, 301 Struthers-Liberty Road, Campbell, will have a Russian Easterfest from noon to 4 p.m. sponsored by the Campbell “O” Club. There will be kolachi, Paska bread, strudel, homemade candy and cookies, Easter crafts and Pysanky eggs. There also will be a dine-in Lenten buffet.

SUNDAY

Christ Our Savior Parish will have a stuffed cabbage dinner from noon to 4 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, in the church hall. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children under 12. Carryouts are available; take your own containers. For information call 330-755-9819.

Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive, Boardman, will have a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall. The cost is $7. Children 4 to 11 are $3.50, and those 3 and under are free. For information call Susan Wesser at 330-782-8109.

The Historic Lutheran Church of St. John, 1429 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, is planning a Palm Sunday brunch and bake sale, sponsored by the Ladies Altar Guild, beginning at noon. Reservations can be called in to 330-799-1751. The prices are $8.95 for adults, $4 for children 12 and under and free for kids under 5.

Immaculate Conception-Sacred Heart Parish, 400 Lincoln Park Drive, Youngstown, will have its 58th annual spaghetti dinner and basket auction from noon to 4 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Mount Carmel Society of St. Rose Church, 48 E. Main St., Girard, will have its Easter bake sale from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Raffle tickets also will be on sale for a lottery wreath.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church hall. Cost is $7 for adults and $4.50 for children. All carryouts are $7; containers are 75 cents, or you can provide your own.

Southington American Legion Post will serve pancake breakfasts from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the post home, 3145 Warren-Burton Road. Donations are $6.50 for adults and $4 for children under 12; those 4 and under are free.

St. Joseph Church, 4565 New Road, Austintown will have its annual spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. in the social hall. The event is sponsored by the church’s men’s club and ladies guild. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 10; those 5 and under are free. Takeouts are available.

St. Michael Byzantine Church, 463 Robinson Road, Campbell, will have its annual spaghetti dinner, hosted by Infant Jesus of Prague Ladies Guild, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Takeouts are available; take your own container.

Vincent United Methodist Church, 20 Walnut St., Jackson Center, Pa., will serve a ham loaf and scalloped potato dinner at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under.

TUESDAY

Mahoning United Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will sell stuffed cabbage rolls from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until sold out) for $1.50 each. To order call 330-799-5318 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Friday. Walk-ins are welcome, but advance orders are appreciated.

TAKING ORDERS

St. John the Baptist Church, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell, will be taking orders for homemade haluski from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through April 4. Call 330-755-0036 or 330-755-4141. The cost is $5 per quart. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to noon April 6 in the church hall.

Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church is taking orders for homemade strudel until April 6. A large apple or cherry is $8, and a large cherry with cheese is $9. Call 330-792-6699 or 330-799-7911. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to noon April 7 at the center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown.
