Lariccias honored for donations of $100,000 to Animal Charity

The prospect of a humane agency’s closing and less help for animals in need made Mary Lariccia unable to sleep one cold midwinter night.

A few days and $50,000 later, however, she was able to sleep a lot more soundly.

“I thought of the neglected animals and the next day, Tony made calls and said, ‘We want to give $50,000 right now,” Mary said during a news conference Sunday at Animal Charity Humane Society, 4140 Market St., to thank Anthony and Mary Lariccia for their support.

A January 2011 Vindicator article made Mary Lariccia aware that a lack of funding threatened to shutter Animal Charity, so a short time later, the entrepreneurial couple donated the $50,000 gift that allowed the agency to remain open.

On Jan. 12, the Lariccias donated another $50,000 to Animal Charity, which is Mahoning County’s only humane agency.

Also on hand at the gathering was a plaque awarding the Lariccia family for their contributions to Animal Charity.

Wouldn't it be great if Animal Charity would use that money to make restitution to Cat Ladies Society for the cost of everything they stole during their bogus raid in 2010?
They won't even do them the courtesy of telling them what they did with their animals.
Since no charges were ever brought against Cat Ladies Society what right did Animal Charity have to take their property and not return it?
Animal Charity drove these women out of business, stole their property and killed their animals and nobody has stood up to do a thing about it.
Who oversees these "law enforcement agents"? Everybody preaches about "letting bygones be bygones" but what about the 84 cats Animal Charity stole from Cat Ladies Society? These animals are gone, vanished, dead, rotting in a landfill somewhere. Cat Ladies was taken over by another organization after they found themselves unable to fundraise effectively with the cloud of that raid hanging over them.
Where is the justice for this group of women who broke no laws and committed no acts of cruelty?

Werecat also known as Kimm Koocher does not bother to mention how sick the cats were that Animal Charity had to deal with after the raid. No charges were filed because of a technicality with the warrent. The women of Cat Ladies were not driven out of business at all. They were not taken over at all. Kimm is still in charge and she found a new millionaire to bamboozle. They merely changed their name to Westside Cats. Kimm is a liar. Kimm tell everyone about the cats which died on the floor. about your full freezers of dead cats, about the human medication you asked adopters to bring to you which you used on the cats. You forget there are people who know the truth. People who saw it wih their own eyes. Kimm and no one else put those cats in such a condition that most of them could not be saved. Kimm and no one else is to blame for the inhumane treatment they received at her hands. Kimm and no one else will have to answer for this someday. I don't know how she can look at herself in a mirror and know the horrors she put those cats through. Kimm stop the lying!

To Westside cats aka Cat Ladies Society: Please leave our area soon and please, please, please stay out of the animal shelter "business". Find another non-profit way to bilk people out of money, preferably with victims who can speak and tell what you have done to them. If those cats could talk, what a tale they would tell.
Saw you at the Pet Expo dragging around a cat having seizures and another crippled one in a soiled diaper. The poor things were terrified of the dogs and all the people. You did not care that one was seizing right in front of you. You are a disgusting scumbag!!!! You look like a skinhead with shaved head and tatoos all over and dressed like a filthy vagabond. Are we to believe you can care for cats when you look like that???
Please someone find this pathetic loser another hobby.

There you go again. Making yourself a bunch of Vindy accounts and having them all parrot your blather does not make said blather into fact. Nor does it make people discount what they see with their own eyes, which is a bright and clean shelter inhabited by happy, well-cared-for cats that are only alive because West Side Cats, and Cat Ladies Society before them, stepped up to help.

The fact is that thanks to YOUR psychotic and obsessive stalking and harassment Cat Ladies Society is no more. I turned all of their assets over to the people of West Side Cats, even though starting CLS cost me my life savings, my credit rating and what little I had in my IRA. Congratulations. Your cold-blooded sending of 84 cats to a nasty death paid off for you. You should be very proud of yourself.

Of course, given that you are an admitted sociopath who, as you once told me, is "not burdened with a conscience like the idiots I'm surrounded by", you are probably already very proud of yourself and hardly need my encouragement in that regard. The comments in this column read exactly like the many cards and letters sent to our business associates and to my home - down to the small details. Anybody who has read these realizes just what a sick, grasping, pathetic creature you are. All of these letters and cards say the same things and are signed with different names, but the handwriting on all of them is identical.

Smoochie has been doing events for a year, since she came to live with us. This was her first event with her cart and she did beautifully. She loves being petted and greeting her many fans. Your attempts to make it seem otherwise reveal your own desperation. Please find yourself a life and stop trying to live mine.

Kimm Williams Koocher or Betty JoAnne Koocher or whatever your name is this week..its public record you changed your name
..just like the name to Cat Ladies was changed to West Side Cats.

Changing the names does not change the situation or reality of what happened.

I have been doing a lot of research about rescue groups.

Your name comes up for hoarding on numerous web sites. You are on the do not adopt lists.

You are the sociopath. Go back to the places in NY where it lists you from also.

I am truly frightend for any animal that has exposure to you.

Thank God Animal Charity exists.

I will send them a check today to keep up the humane services.

Thank you to Shelia B and Happy Cats for having the courage to tell the truth.

You missed that my last name used to be Danforth, too. First marriage. Also public record. I hated my name and changed it legally. Is that really the best you can do?

I remember you being big on using your computer to dig around records and invade people's privacy. Bet you're over there chewing your lips to shreds because I have no criminal record.

The only reason my name comes up on those sites is because they list articles about the raid. The bogus raid based on your lies and a certain humane officer's inability to properly do his job.

Sounds like you've been doing a lot of research about me. Another one of your all-nighters? Pity, you could have just asked me.

Thanking your other posting accounts? What courage is involved in posting anonymously on a message board? You always were a coward, too. Maybe you should go back to where I found you, sitting in your room hunched over a computer and screaming at your dogs.
