Kvamme to speak at chamber’s annual meeting

YOUNGSTOWN

Mark Kvamme, president and interim chief investment officer for JobsOhio, will be the keynote speaker at the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s annual meeting from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 22 at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.

Kvamme heads JobsOhio, a private, nonprofit corporation founded by Ohio Gov. John Kasich to lead the state’s job-creation efforts by focusing on attracting and retaining jobs.

During the annual meeting, the chamber will also present three awards to community members.

This year’s honorees are:

Dr. Rashid Abdu, senior surgeon, St. Elizabeth Health Center, emeritus director of surgical education, St. Elizabeth Health Center, and emeritus professor of surgery, Northeastern Ohio Medical University; he will receive the William G. Lyden, Jr. Spirit Of The Valley Award.

Richard H. Dearing and Rebecca S. Wall, president and vice president, respectively, of Dearing Compressor & Pump Co., who will receive the Donald Cagigas Spirit Of The Chamber Award.

Patrick J. Ungaro, Liberty Township administrator and former Mayor of Youngstown, who will receive the Chairwoman’s Political Achievement Award.
