Limbaugh responds to attacks with apology today

Published: Sat, March 3, 2012 @ 6:46 p.m.

Radio host Rush Limbaugh has apologized to a Georgetown University law student for calling her insulting names. He had come under intense criticism from womens' groups, politicians from both political parties and some of the advertisers on his talk show.

Limbaugh said today on his website that he had chosen the wrong words in his comments about law student Sandra Fluke. He said he "did not intend a personal attack" on her.

Limbaugh had called her a "prostitute" and a "slut" after she testified before Congress about a need for insurance coverage for birth control.

President Barack Obama had telephoned Fluke on Friday to express his support for her.

He only apologized because he was forced to by his sponsors who threatened to pull out.

Doesn't sound like much of an apology to me.

Yes he did directly call her these names. You can't spin it any other way. Here's a link to exactly what he said:

Limbaugh is an embarrassment to the human race! No one with a brain listens to him. re: fattyskinny? The media???? That fat slob said those things. As IF he is a pillar of wonderful. Only a moron would spend time listening to his nonsense. And actually - YOU say MY rights have been taken away? What the hell are you talking about??? Maybe your fat wonder is sharing his drugs with you. I know of no woman (unless they are 'kept' by a man) who would listen to him, watch fox OR vote for a person against women's rights. But then..I do not hang with kept women (women who rely upon a man for income)..your ball....

The government is not taking away your rights. Only TAX SUPPORTED organizations are included in this blanket coverage which all people will have available. No church or religious organization propagating faith rather than anything else will be included. If you take our tax money, you have to be equal. This is a democracy. What about OUR rights as taxpayers? We all have the right to have access to contraception or anything else. You want YOUR employer deciding not to cover blood transfusions because they're Jehovah's Witness? Give up the martyrdom - or give up receiving our tax money. Either is fine. And yes Rush called the young woman a slut and a prostitute - heard it myself - for talking about contraceptives for MEDICAL issues that is already provided at many Catholic and other religiously supported but taxpayer funded institutions.

He is an OLD PERVERT!!!! A proper woman would slap his face, a man would punch him in the nose. The respectful young woman was testifying to the experience of her friend that had to have her ovary removed. And he twists THAT into a SEX issue? He wants to see sex videos of young college girls? And he says that to an national audience in the middle of the afternoon? That says a lot about his advertisers, the station that broadcasts his trash, the party that cowtows to him, and the moronic sheep that follow his every word.
