Prosecutor clears U. of Cincy police in teen's death

Published: Tue, June 12, 2012 @ 1:30 p.m.

CINCINNATI (AP) — A southwest Ohio prosecutor says he has found no wrongdoing by University of Cincinnati police in the death of a youth hit by a stun gun.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters sent a letter today to the UC police chief stating that the officer’s action was justified.

His finding comes days after the county coroner reported that cause of death remains unknown for 18-year-old Everette Howard Jr. Howard was on campus for college-prep classes and allegedly charged police with balled fists after they responded to reported fighting at a dormitory. Police say an officer used a stun gun when Howard refused to halt. He went into a fatal cardiac arrest.

A message was left for the Howard family attorney, who has said he plans a wrongful-death lawsuit.

So it's time to go back to using deadly force when this happens.

How many people die after being tased by police?
I'm betting there are more that die from being shot by police.

5th - Why put yourself in a position to get hit by a stun gun??? Common sense goes a long way.
