YPD officer suspended for joining Biden motorcade
YOUNGSTOWN
Youngstown Police Lieutenant John Kelty has been given a three-day unpaid suspension and told any further misconduct could result in the loss of his job.
The sanction is the result of Kelty’s, while working security during Vice-President Joe Biden’s visit to the valley, joining the motorcade procession for the vice president. Youngstown police investigated the matter, deeming the action to be improper conduct.
The suspension will begin Thursday and end Saturday.

A what? A three day suspension? This screwball joined Biden's motorcade line. Now he should join the unemployment line.
This joker is just staying in trouble. He was in court a few months ago for screwing up. He ripped off the city, basically, for over-reporting pay, and now he thinks he can just bust in a motorcade of the VP? Fire this joker! How many strikes does he get?
this guy is arrogant and thinks he can do what he pleases, of course he has an administration that is so lax that this behavior is not dealt with because it would be work on someones part and we can't have that
I'll bet he'll learn his lesson this time.............. He will get a 5 day weekend, right at the beginning of the summer / blood fest that will be Summer in Ytown 2012. Of course his fellow officers will be at risk-along with the city because there will be "less police on the streets". He'll turn in comp time earned by sitting in court and still get paid. He and his buddies are at a South Side drink hole saluting with shots as I type!
When the Union is done with this (right around election time when Mitt the Droid is only 2 pts down in NE Ohio), the VP will come back into town and give him an award for service above and beyond the call of duty!
Typical Cop, thinks he can do whatever he wants to do.
