Brian Terlesky, 12, gets visit with legendary Jack Nicklaus

Brian Terlesky, 12, a student at Glenwood Middle School in Boardman, was treated to a visit with golf legend Jack Nicklaus this week at Muirfield Village Golf Club, site of the Memorial tournament.

Brian has won all six tournaments he’s played in this year and is ranked No. 1 in the country his age group by Junior Golf Scoreboard.

Brian is playing on the GolfWeek Junior Tour in the Midwest District and has won events in Sellersburg, Ind. (1-under 143), Columbus (152), Windmill Lakes in Ravenna (145) and Avalon Golf and Country Club in Warren (7-under 137).

He’s also won the Joe Hass Cup tournament at Firestone Country Club in Akron, a match-play event, and the U.S. Kids Junior Golf tournament at Kennsington Golf Club, shooting 73.

Brian also recently scored his fifth hole-in-one at Mill Creek Golf Course.

While at Muirfield, Brian also met current PGA Tour players Carl Petterson and Jim Furyk.

He’ll next play in a Future Tour Championship event in Greenville, Miss., later this month.
