St. Joseph Minor Emergency, 1296 Tod Place NW, Warren: 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday on the grounds of the facility, indoors if the weather is not good.
St. Elizabeth Health Center, 1044 Belmont Ave., Youngs-town: 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 15, in its main lobby off Park Avenue.
A 63-year-old Central Parkway Southeast man was knocked unconscious in the basement of his home Sunday evening by two men who pretended to be interested in buying the man’s house.
The homeowner said one black male and one white male asked to see the house, which is for sale, near 6 p.m. The black male walked with the homeowner on the first floor, but the white male walked into the basement. When the homeowner and the other male went downstairs, they put the home-owner in a choke hold, causing him to fall unconscious, police said.
The homeowner was disoriented when he regained consciousness and went upstairs and passed out in his bed. The man awoke and noticed that his washing machine had been brought upstairs but left in the entrance to his side door.
He also discovered his 1988 Toyota 4-Runner and his car keys were missing. The victim refused medical treatment.
