Ohio Democratic Party honors Betras
COLUMBUS
The Ohio Democratic Party named Mahoning County Democratic Party Chairman David Betras its Large County Chair of the Year.
It’s the second time Betras has received the honor. He also was selected in 2010. Last year, the party named Betras as the Ohio Democrat of the Year.
The announcement was made at Saturday’s annual state party dinner.
“I am surprised, pleased and humbled,” Betras said. “But in reality the people who deserve this award are the activists, labor leaders, and elected officials who work tirelessly on behalf of our party, our community, our state, and our nation. While I may be the face and the voice —and I know that occasionally it’s a loud and annoying voice— of Democrats in Mahoning County, the hundreds of people who put up yard signs, work the polls and the phones, walk precincts, and collect signatures election after election, year after year are the heart and soul of the MCDP.”

The gadfly of gadfly's!
Congratulations David Betras!
I guess they did not hear he called them all liars. Maybe that is one of the better names the democratic politicians have been called.
Anyone who pays enough money can win any prize they want. Betras seems to want, "Chairman of the Year" and he sends the appropriate amount needed to win.
He's happy and the state party is happy, the only losers are the local candidates who lost the money that should have been spent on them and other local races/issues.
Oh well, it's more important that Betras wins, right?
Congratulations to Mr. Betras...your voice is heard; Loud and Clear!
You know when you're somewhere , maybe a public park, and you step in something and you just can't get it off your shoe? Now that's annoying. So Betras say's he's annoying. Yes, I guess you could put Betras in that same category. Same type of annoying.
You should see Betras go Super Saiyan: http://bit.ly/R1Kyk2
I imagine that is what got him the award.
Congrats and thank you for your public service. Disregard the cry babies who do NOTHING but complain.
