Video shows Fla. man shooting at would-be robbers
OCALA, Fla. (AP) — Authorities in central Florida say two men were trying to rob an Internet cafe when a 71-year-old patron began shooting his own gun, wounding the suspects.
Surveillance video shows two masked men entering the Palms Internet Cafe around 10 p.m. Friday. The Ocala Star-Banner reports one pointed a gun at customers while the other swung a baseball bat.
The video shows patron Samuel Williams pulling a handgun and shooting. He continues firing while the suspects fall over each other as they run out the door.
Nineteen-year-olds Duwayne Henderson and Davis Dawkins were later arrested and face attempted armed robbery with a firearm and criminal mischief charges. Both posted bail and were released.
Williams has a concealed weapons permit. Bill Gladson of the Marion County State Attorney’s Office says the shooting appears justified.

Im surprised he hasn't been charged with murder. I seem to recall another justified self defense shooting in florida where the guy was called a racist and murderer and so on.

So let these two cockroaches maybe bash someones head in with the bat, or shoot someone with the gun, take the money and run. You really think the police would have showed up by then? (Not harping on the police in anyway, I'm sure they are busy) He not only aborted the crime, but maybe saved all the patrons that were in the place. And the bottom line is the police eventually did catch them.They would have been long gone by then. If more citizens did this, there will be less robbery's, less murders, less crime and the prison population would be cut in half.
