A Pennsylvania man has been arrested and charged with two counts of robbery in incidents here.

Jeremy Dunlap, 26, of Farrell, Pa., was arrested shortly after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday by Pennsylvania authorities, said Hubbard police Sgt. David C. Oaks.

Oaks said Dunlap is believed to be responsible for two drugstore robberies over the weekend in Hubbard.

One robbery took place at 12:04 p.m. Saturday when a man entered the Rite Aid at 147 W. Liberty St. He selected an item to buy and brought it to the counter. When the clerk opened the register, the man grabbed approximately $400 from it and fled, said Oaks.

The other robbery occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. Friday. A man entered Walgreens at Liberty and Main streets. After he selected an item to buy, he went to the front of the store and laid a $20 bill on the counter. When the clerk opened the register, the man reached over and grabbed roughly $250, said Oaks.

A warrant was issued for Dunlap’s arrest after someone recognized his photo on the Hubbard city police Facebook page, said Oaks.

Dunlap is in Mercer County, Pa., jail.
