Youngstown State defensive coordinator Rick Kravitz will not be back with the team, according to the coaching website Footballscoop.com.
Kravitz, a St. Petersburg, Fla., native, was defensive coordinator the past two seasons under head coach Eric Wolford. YSU gave up 25.7 points per game this fall, fourth-best in the nine-team league. But the Penguins gave up 38 points in a loss to Missouri State in the season finale.
Wolford will look to bring in an outside candidate to replace Kravitz, the website reported.

Defense was going to much stronger this year, but we need a new scheme in my eyes. I thought a 3-4 scheme with our depth at LB would have made a ton of sense!
Can't wait to see the replacement!
Maybe we can get back to having a strong defense. We need something to YSU back on the map..
