Meeting set tonight to discuss crime in the southwest area of Warren

WARREN

The 6th Ward Community Coalition and the Southwest Neighborhood Association will have a joint meeting at Second Baptist Church, 1510 Main Street SW, at 6 p.m. today to discuss crime in the southwest area of Warren.

In a press release, Councilwoman Cheryl Saffold said crime in that area is “getting out of control,” citing the recent shooting death of Domin’Que L. Hugley, 21, of Saratoga Avenue Southwest and other crimes. Hugley was found dead Jan. 12 at 796 Third Street SW. Four of the city’s 10 homicides in 2011 occurred in Southwest Warren, Saffold said.

Yeah right. No one is going to show up for that meeting in that war zone.

Snitches get stiches and dumped into ditches.
