YOUNGSTOWN
An attempted carjacking early Friday at Ohio and Madison avenues near the Youngstown State University campus failed when the victim floored the accelerator and drove toward Kilcawley House, saw a YSU police officer, stopped his vehicle and blew the horn.
The suspect, armed with a handgun, fled the vehicle.
The 19-year-old male victim told police he picked up two unidentified males at Kilcawley who wanted a ride to McDonald’s restaurant on Fifth Avenue. He said he felt sorry for them because it was raining.
After going to McDonald’s restaurant, he took them back to the area of Ohio and Madison and let them out. However, one of the men jumped back into the backseat of the vehicle, produced a handgun and demanded the car.
Comments
FEELING SORRY FOR A MAN OR WOMAN DOES NOT GET THEM A RIDE IN MY VEHICLE. IT IS TOO DANGEROUS OUT HERE IN Y-TOWN TO BE PICKING UP ANYBODY
The victim brought this upon himself, don't pick up anyone!
The victim made a poor choice .He however is not responsible for the criminal act that would be the criminal's fault.
