Youngstown anti-litter initiative to be announced today
YOUNGSTOWN — Officials with the city, Mahoning County sheriff’s office, the county’s Green Team, and the Ohio Department of Transportation will announce today a new collaborative initiative to remove and prevent littering in Youngstown.
The details of the new program to reduce the amount of litter on city roadways will be given at 10:30 a.m. today in city hall’s council caucus room.

I would suggest starting witht the garbage trucks 90% goes in the truck 10% scattered on the street.
Picking up trash from run down, ramshackle, abandoned houses throughout the city doesn't really do much. I suspect that the city officials and sheriff's department has more pressing issues around the city other than a few pieces of trash being discarded.
May i suggest that they stop people who throw cigarette butts out their car windows that alone would pay for any extra patrols that are needed
