Austintown bank robbed
Austintown
Township police are searching for the suspect in a bank robbery this morning.
Capt. Bryan Kloss said a man entered First Place Bank, 3516 S. Meridian Road, when the doors opened at 9 a.m. today. He handed the teller an envelope with a note that read, “I have a gun. Give me your money.”
Kloss said the teller took money from her drawer and handed it to him. He then fled from the bank.
The suspect is described as a white male between 50-and-60-years-old, 5 feet 10 inches, about 180 pounds with short and partially greying hair.
Kloss said he was wearing a black and yellow jacket, black hat and white sneakers.
Police continue to investigate. Anyone with information should call the Austintown Police Department at 330-799-9721.

Bank employees are trained to look for stuff like that AND the informaton in the article probably came from the bank's cameras.
Stores and muggings don't usually have a tape to review for evidence!
I often wonder why the FBI cannot release photos from the videotapes in many of these robberies. Pictures are worth a thousand words, the old saying goes and I am sure someone out there would recognize the individual's photo rather than by a discription.
An old, greying, white male wearing a BLACK and YELLOW jacket. Obviously at his wits end, no hope or promise of success. Warped morals, probably worships rapists and cheap shot artists that prey on defenseless normal people. Case solved. Just another pathetic Steeler fan.........
blah
Been saying that for a LONG time. Especially when witnesses give a description of the perp. Alway omitted except if there white. smh
Probably a disgruntled Steeler fan.
