Accused child rapist requests second competency evaluation

Accused child rapist requests second competency evaluation

WARREN

Like her husband the day before, Felicia Beemer of Warren has asked the court to evaluate her a second time to determine whether she is competent to stand trial and was sane at the time she allegedly raped her biological daughter.

One evaluation has already been completed, but the results of the evaluation have not been made public.

For her attorney to request a second evaluation indicates she was deemed to be sane and competent the first time, observers said Wednesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Beemer, 21, and her husband, Cody Beemer, 22, are charged with raping their 9-month-old daughter during a visit with the child at the Trumbull County Children Services agency in April 2011.

Anyone who rapes a child, and especially one that young is obviously insane. But, that does not mean that someone that sick is exempt from normal prosection. Both these 'parents' should be given the death penalty.

I'm not approving of child rape of course ? But if they are insane , what purpose does the death penalty provide ? No deterrent efffect , unless we say the insane should cure themselves .

The death penalty would rid the world of two low life child molesters! Sane or insane it doesn't matter, now will the child be so badly hurt by the parents that he or she may not be sane! fry them

If a person is sane enough to try and hide their crime they are sane enough to go to trial.

cambridge's reply is purely common sense; something that our current criminal justice system is lacking.
