Ohio Christian audiences want Denver QB Tim Tebow

Published: Tue, January 24, 2012 @ 10:25 a.m.

ZANESVILLE, Ohio (AP) — Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow is in demand for Christian audiences in Ohio.

A church youth-ministry program is raising money in hopes of landing Tebow to speak at an annual faith-based event in Zanesville in eastern Ohio. Youth Pastor Adam King with New Hope Gospel Church tells the Zanesville Times Recorder that an announcement was made at Sunday services and that thousands of dollars was already donated by Sunday night. A flier says the goal is to raise $50,000 to have Tebow appear at the event called The Restoration on March 2.

Meanwhile, multiple media outlets report that Tebow has committed to come to Ohio Christian University in Circleville for a leadership forum April 24.

How about you take that $50,000 and do something worthwhile like feed the homeless. What a joke.
