Macejko demands Gains participate in 21 WFMJ-TV debate
TweetYOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown Prosecutor Jay Macejko is demanding Mahoning County Prosecutor Paul J. Gains agree to participate in a debate being organized by 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.
Both are running in the March Democratic primary with Macejko endorsed by the party.
Gains said he hasn’t refused the WFMJ debate proposal, and that his campaign is in discussions with the station’s officials about a debate.
Mona Alexander, the station’s news director, said WFMJ has given Gains until Jan. 30 to decide if he’ll participate in the debate.
“I have had some communications with” Gains’ campaign, she said. “They had questions on formatting issues and I answered them, and await their response.”
Gains refused to answer yes or no when asked today if he would debate.
“My people are in discussions with 21,” he said. “That’s what I pay these people for. It’s not a definitive yes or no.”
When asked again, Gains said, “If I wasn’t going to debate, I wouldn’t be in discussions with FMJ.”

Asked 4 times for a simple yes or no, and he can't give a straight answer. Go figure.
Macejko is the better candidate anyhow!!!!! Paul Gains does nothing but dish out plea bargains and raises!
Gains versus Macejko in a debate????
Thats like a Little Leaguer batting against an MLB pitcher...Gains would be WAY WAY WAY out of his league. Gains has "his people" for sure. “That’s what I pay these people for..." Hopefully, Gains' paid people never let him debate Macejko publicly so that he may still have a chance in the primary. If Gains appears on "FMJ" and opens his mouth, the election is all over.
After pondering, I must amend my previous statement...

The election is already over; although none of Mr. Gain's staff will tell him yet. Presumably, most have clandestinely cut their deals with Jay.
I know some coward or macejko fan will flag this but that's ok! Paul Gains has not been DRUNK in the last 7 YEARS! He stopped drinking heavily the day after his mother died! And Bman, macejko is NOT the better man! macejko is a FEDERALLY DOCUMENTED RACIST AND BIGOT and because of his RELIGIOUS DISCRIMINATION he cost the city of Youngstown $160,000!! There is a CURRENT case alleging RACE SEX and DISABLITY DISCRIMINATION against Youngstown because of macejko's actions AGAIN! Case # 2011CV1291! This time macejko tried to get a secretary in his office to LIE in the federal case and she refused! Read the case and be prepared to barf because of macejo's actions! By the way, I am Rick Berger, and I do NOT hide behind anonymity!
