Mom opts for home schooling after son put in bag
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky mother of an autistic boy who says he was stuffed in a duffel bag for misbehaving in class has pulled her son out of school.
Sandra Baker said that although classes resumed today in their central Kentucky school district, she will home-school her 9-year-old son, Christopher.
Baker says she won’t send Christopher back to Mercer County Intermediate School until the teacher responsible is fired and the staff is better trained to deal with children with developmental disabilities.
Baker says she saw her son in a bag Dec. 14. The case has spurred an online petition calling for the firing of school employees responsible.
The Mercer County schools interim superintendent did not immediately return a telephone call seeking comment.

So the mother admits her child has developmental disabilities.
Then send him to a school better equipped for such a child instead of trying to main stream children with this disability.
Better yet, get this mother and her family into a FEMA work center...
Next case...er... story...
There are many different types of disabilities and some of these children do very well when they are main streamed. Your comment is ignorant and biased Askmeificare. Disabilities or not, school staff should not be stuffing children in duffel bags for punishment.
Askmeificare, you sound like a tyrant wannabe globalist. If you don't care, don't bother leaving anymore comments.
