2-month old found dead in parents’ bed in New Wilmington

Published: Sat, February 11, 2012 @ 6:39 a.m.

NEW WILMINGTON, PA.

A 2-month-old was found dead in his parents’ bed early Friday.

New Wilmington police said there was no obvious evidence of foul play at the scene, and

Lawrence County District Attorney Joshua Lamancusa said that now “it appears that this death is very possibly accidental and is a horrific tragedy for the parents and their family.” The cause of death is pending an autopsy.

Police and an ambulance were called to a Waugh Avenue home at 3:04 a.m. about a child who was unconscious and not breathing. The child was found in his parents’ bed. His parents were present.

Efforts to resuscitate the child, who did not have a pulse, failed. He was taken to Jameson Hospital in New Castle, Pa., where he was declared dead shortly after 4 a.m. by an official from the Lawrence County, Pa., Coroner’s office.

The name and other details of the infant’s death will be made public after the autopsy, police said.

So very sad for this family, but if indeed the parents had the baby sleeping in bed with them, how careless. How many babies must die before parents learn that infants belong in their own beds? Babies aren't toys and if you want your child with you, put your child's bed in your room but leave your child in its own bed.

Easy to assume the parent(s) smothered the baby since the baby was fount in their bed.

However, at 2 months babies start a very aggressive course of vaccinations.

2nd dose of Hep B (first given in hospital when baby is just hours old in the hospital) and then all these:
DTaP: Diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis vaccine
Hib: Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine
IPV: Inactivated poliovirus vaccine
PCV: Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine
Rota: Rotavirus vaccine

SIDS ( Sudden infant death syndrome) also coincidentally happens quite frequently as this aggressive vaccine protocol is implemented.

Concerned--you do not know what you are talking about. SIDs is down considerably while vaccinations have increased.

Dr. William Torch of the University of Nevada School of Medicine did a study of 103 children who died of SIDS. He found that more than two-thirds had been vaccinated with DPT prior to death. Of these, 6.5% died within 12 hours; 13 % died within 24 hours; 26% died within 3 days; and 37, 61 and 70 % within 1,2,3 weeks respectively. Anything that happens to a baby after four weeks is considered God-given. The average time it takes for a vaccine to dissipate in the body is 10-12 days

There is nothing careless about accidentally falling asleep with your baby. Millions of people do it every night ON PURPOSE! You should thank God that this did not occur to you - people who live in glass castles! These parents are horribly grieving. To have public comments like the first two listed are cruel. You have no right judging this family.

Those first two comments obviously have never been parents or raised their kids by the liberal left wing parenting guide. Its people like that who we can thank for making today's generation needy and self centered!
