Police are investigating another case of animal cruelty after witnesses saw two dogs being thrown from an Interstate 680 overpass Monday on the city’s South Side.
According to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, witnesses told police they saw a blue van stop where the interstate crosses Midlothian Boulevard and men throw the dogs onto the road below.
Motorists came to the aid of the dogs, who were unconscious at the time. The dogs, Thor and Sadie, were taken to Animal Charity in Boardman, where X-rays show no broken bones, but Thor did suffer a bruised lung.
The owner, Jaime Jones, told WFMJ-TV the dogs were stolen earlier Monday from her property on Lemoyne Avenue.
Police are still looking for the owner of the van.

What is going on anymore??? Why are there so many sickos so intent on hurting animals? These thugs need lengthy prison time. I can't imagine hurting an animal. It really takes a sick mind to treat any animal this way!
Even if these monsters are caught, they only face misdemeanor charges. Essentially, a parking ticket, or public drunkenness. No big deal, the victims are "just dogs", right? What happens when these jerks move on to children? or the elderly?
After every horrific story, everyone says, "How can someone do that? Terrible... Horrible...Something should be done!"
"Something" IS being done, and YOU can "do something" too.
HB108 will allow the possibility of FELONY charges for animal abusers.
It takes 30 seconds to say "I'm an Ohio voter, and I am calling to urge Mr. Batchelder to move HB108 onto the floor for a vote!" 614-466-8140
I couldn't have said it any better redeye1. Hang em high in the public square just to let others who would even consider doing this what they would face. CREEPS>>>>>>
I know sometimes they say it is raining cats and DOGS, yet this is ridiculous.
