Felonious assault charge follows shooting
YOUNGSTOWN
A 51-year-old Youngstown man is charged with felonious assault following an incident with his nephew.
Police arrested Keith Colvin of West Boardman Street after he told police he fired a pistol three times in the direction of his 27-year-old nephew, Curtis Brooks, Friday night.
Brooks burst though Colvin’s garage door and began choking Colvin against a wall, according to a police report.
Colvin then fired three times in Brooks’ direction.
Brooks fled on foot before his girlfriend took him to Northside Medical Center.
Brooks was last reported to be in critical but stable condition.
Comments
Another shooter who needs some target practice.
Something isn't right here. A 51 yr old man gets attacked in his own home and is choked against a wall. He shoots at the the guy choking him and he gets charged with Felonious Assault?
"Brooks burst though Colvin’s garage door and began choking Colvin against a wall, according to a police report."
So what is the 51 year old man suppose to do, let the little sorry a@3 punk choke him to death? Get real, this POS should be in jail. To bad it was'nt a direct hit.
This sure sounds FISHY, must be more to the story, he should get a badge of honor, a pillar of the community, a new role model, anything but arrested for protecting himself and his property....
Not adding up....
Obviously , the nephew was hit , otherwise he wouldn't be in hospital . However , lets leave the issue of culpability to investigators , judges & juries . Life is too short to be a kneejerk armchair critic .
Excellent display of no family moral values. A Hoodrat choking your uncle! Where is Stan on this issue? His comments are missed.
Ok here's my problem with this story, Where exactly is his home on W Boardaman St? Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think there are any residences on that street let alone one with a garge.
Unless he lives at the Yng police station or WFMJ
