TOLEDO

The city is again fighting with the police union over who should be writing the parking tickets downtown.

The Blade newspaper reports that the mayor’s office has ordered the Downtown Toledo Parking Authority to resume writing tickets for vehicles parked illegally downtown, other than those at expired meters.

The head of the city’s police patrolmen and command officers unions has filed grievances claiming that is police work.
