Police still seeking gunman in East Side shooting

YOUNGSTOWN

Police are still trying to determine who shot a 59-year-old man outside an East Side grocery store over the weekend.

The shooting victim told police he was near the Shehy Street grocery store at about 7:30 Wednesday when someone drove by and fired multiple shots in his direction. The man was hit in the arm and side.

The victim was able to open to the door to the store and ask for help before lying down in the doorway. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment of the non-life threatening wounds.

The victim told police he has no idea who could have fired the shots.
