Mended Hearts installs officers
Mended Hearts, an organization that provides support for cardiac patients and their families, recently conducted an installation ceremony at Avion on the Water. Mended Hearts Chapter 7 installed N. Lee Meadows as president during the group’s annual holiday luncheon recently at Avion on the Water.
She and other officers will serve from 2013 to 2015.
The installation was conducted by Joe Clark, outgoing president.
Also installed were Dolores Iannucci, vice president; Donald Feindt, treasurer; Trudy Serrino, secretary; and Erwin Schwartz, visiting chairman.
Meadows, a member for 13 years, has served as past president (2004-2006), vice president, secretary, health fairs, historian, public relations and special events chairwoman. She has also traveled to Washington D.C. to represent the American Heart Association and to lobby for bills that will provide funding for the education and research of heart disease.
She is a member of Fellows Riverside Gardens, The Butler Institute of American Art, Ohio Cultural Alliance, St. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary, and is a registered volunteer for HandsOn Volunteer Network.
Meadows also is an accredited hospital visitor, the accredited visiting program provides a visiting program at local hospitals offering support to cardiac patients and their families. She is available to speak to local organizations about heart disease at no charge. For information call her at 330-793-2531.
