Lawrence and Patricia Topolosky of Murrysville are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Lauren Nicole Topolosky and Dr. Richard George Lucas Jr.
Parents of the prospective groom are Richard and Nancy Lucas of Canfield, formerly of Geneva, Ill.
An October 2013 wedding is planned at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg, Pa., with a reception to follow at Chestnut Ridge Resort, Blairsville, Pa.
The bride-elect received a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh and is an immunizing pharmacist at Rite Aid, Greensburg.
The future groom received a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Marquette University and his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass., and is employed by Radiologic Consultants as a staff radiologist for Excela Health System.
