Iron City makeover
As it transitions from its current location in Campbell to the Ross Industrial Park on Albert Street in Youngstown, Iron City Wood Products has created a new brand identity and website. Tina Yanssens, company vice president, said the image makeover is part of the company’s overall strategic plan.
The company’s fleet of trucks will be outfitted with the new logo as well. With some operations already underway at the Albert Street facility, the move is expected to be completed by early spring of 2013. The new website is www.IronCityWoodProducts.com.
YSU seeks employers
YSU is seeking employers to participate in the new internship and co-op program funded by a $575,000 grant from the Ohio Board of Regents. More than 100 new internship and co-op placements will be developed for science, technology, engineering, mathematics, accounting, finance, management and marketing majors during the coming year.
New placements will begin as early as the spring semester, and interested employers are invited to an information session Friday from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in the Williamson College of Business Administration.
Time Warner appointments
Time Warner Cable customers in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania can now schedule all service and installation appointments within a one-hour appointment time frame.
In addition to offering shorter service windows, Time Warner Cable now estimates approximately how long it will take to get the job done. The first appointment of the day begins at 8 a.m., with the last appointment arriving at 7 p.m. Time Warner Cable service technicians also perform installations and service calls on Sundays and holidays.
The Internal Revenue Service has issued the 2013 optional standard mileage rates used to calculate the deductible costs of operating an automobile for business, charitable, medical or moving purposes.
Beginning Tuesday, the standard mileage rates for vehicle use will be 56.5 cents per mile for business miles driven; 24 cents per mile driven for medical or moving purposes; and 14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations.
