YOUNGSTOWN

Local sports clubs are coming together to honor game warden Dave Brown, who is retiring from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources after 32 years of service.

For the last three years, Brown was the wildlife officer supervisor, overseeing the work of wildlife officers in Columbiana, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, and Trumbull, according to an ODNR news release.

Before that, he was the Mahoning County wildlife officer.

A dinner is planned for 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Assumption Social Center of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave. For details on the event, read Sunday's Vindicator or Vindy.com.
